Presented by Woody Guthrie’s granddaughter, this course examines the folk singer-songwriter's life and prolific compositions which have become American music standards. Through primary source images and audio from the Guthrie family’s archive, the legendary musician's creative legacy is explored along with his work in humanitarian rights, the labor movement, WWII, as well as anti-fascism and anti-racism efforts.
