***THIS CLASS HAS CHANGED TO A TWO HOUR CLASS ON 12/12 ***

Award-winning novelist and director of the documentary "Gatsby in Connecticut", will teach this course which offers a greater appreciation of writer F. Scott Fitzgerald and his wife/muse Zelda and their impact on literature & the 1920s. Prior to first class, students should have read the novels The Great Gatsby, The Beautiful and Damned, and Scott’s essay "The Cruise of the Rolling Junk" (the above can be purchased or taken out of a library). Also recommended is to watch "Gatsby in Connecticut" for rental or purchase. The documentary, featuring Sam Waterston, explores the above works and delves into Scott’s personal life and his courtship and marriage to Zelda.
