Bellydancing is energizing yet relaxing. Greek dances and Veil dances are covered in this beginners' class. Women of all ages are welcome. Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing and thick socks or slippers that "slide." Supply List: Bring veils 2 3⁄4 yards by 45 inches of sheer chiffon or organza. You can purchase material at any fabric store (no need to hem). Or just improvise with something you already have at home.

Through primary source images and audio from the Guthrie family’s archive, the legendary musician's creative legacy is explored along with his work in humanitarian rights, the labor movement, WWII, as well as anti-fascism and anti-racism efforts.

Developing A Personal Yoga Practice (Part 2) (In Person) Litchfield

This is a continuation of the Beginner's class, Developing a Personal Yoga Practice. Students will continue to explore Yoga philosophy, Pranayama (breath control), Asana (yoga postures) and meditation, and forge a connection with the ongoing group to support their practice. Students should bring a yoga mat and notebook and dress comfortably to allow for freedom of movement. Students are expected to be able to stand up, sit, and get up from the floor. The text, The Heart of Yoga by T.K.V. Desikachar (ISBN # 978 089281764-1), will be used.

Learn how to play songs on the accordion and discover the history of the instrument in the U.S. Informally referred to as a "squeezebox," this apparatus is used in Cajun, Zydeco, and Jazz music. Registered students can either bring their own accordion or, if they do not have one, be provided one during class by the instructor.
