Spring In New England (In Person) Torrington

Celebrate the springtime in New England with a bucolic barn landscape. Learn basic wet on wet techniques with some watercolor magic. Drawing skills need not apply! A sketchbook scale copy of the drawing will be sent out to students ahead of time to transfer. Topics include an introduction to materials and basic paint handling skills. All levels are welcome.

Stained Glass Jewelry (In Person) Watertown HS

Participants will design and create their own wearable art to take home while learning the basic techniques of cutting, foiling, and soldering stained glass to create a pair of earrings and a matching pendant. There is a material fee of $12 (cash) payable to the instructor on the first night of class. Please arrive on time.

Learn simple watercolor brush techniques to create some stunning floral studies! Drawing skills need not apply! All we need is a round brush and fun colors. Topics include an introduction to materials, basic paint handling skills, and the magical element of suggestion in painting. All levels of experience are welcome.
Bring Outside In: Floral Design (In Person ) Litchfield

Design a beautiful table arrangement using foraged and local blooms. Students will learn basic design skills, along with new techniques for creating arrangements. By the end of class, you will be able to design an arrangement; learn floral techniques; master floral identification; and know tips on how to make flowers last longer. Prior to the first class, the instructor will contact students about purchasing class materials sold by her for a $50 fee.
Moravian Star Glass Workshop Beginner (In Person) Woodbury MS

In this beginner class we learn the basic techniques of cutting, grinding, foiling, and assembling this beautiful 3D-stained glass hanging star. There is a $12 material fee (cash only) payable to the instructor on the first night of class.
Introduction To Basketry (In Person) HVRHS

Begin exploring the world of basketry by weaving a flat-red muffin basket (11" L X 6 1/2" W X 4 1/2" H) with a colorful chain pattern around its circumference. Students build on basketry skills by exploring various weaving techniques and materials. Supplies can be purchased directly from the instructor for $15 at the first class. Tools are provided by the instructor while in class.

In this four week studio course, students will be working on their own project to further refine their cutting, grinding, foiling and soldering skills. Tools will be provided; students must bring their own supplies (glass, solder and copper foil). Students must have their project/pattern choice approved by the instructor before class begins.
