Beginner Stained Glass Workshop (In Person) Woodbury MS

Learn the basic techniques of stained glass: cutting, grinding, foiling, and soldering. Participants will create a sun catcher of their choice to take home. There is a $12 (cash) material fee payable to the instructor on the first night of class.

Who says flowers are just for spring? In this class, learn simple techniques for creating beautiful flower paintings. Skills covered will include color mixing, charging, and brushstrokes. Students will create paintings of flowers. Instructor will provide a list of materials needed prior to the first class.

Learn To Knit Cables ( Online )

Have you learned to knit and feel ready to go beyond stockinette and garter stitch? If you have taken any beginner knitting class, then you are ready to knit cables. Students must know how to cast on, knit and purl. Upon successful completion of the course series, the student will be able to combine knits and purls to create beautiful braids that can be used to enhance sweaters, socks and more. Topics to be covered include, but are not limited to: gauge, reading patterns and charts, and knitting terms and tools. The instructor will email students with a supply list prior to the first class. Students should purchase the following book before class begins: Learn to Knit Afghan Book by Barbara Walker, Schoolhouse Press,ISBN# 9780942018134. Create beautiful abstract art through structured patterns and learn relaxation and creativity techniques from a certified teacher. Students should bring to the first class: one 3.5” X 3.5” square white or off-white piece of cardstock; watercolor paper or other sturdy paper (called your “tile”); one black fine-tipped pen; one pencil; tortillon or other shading device like a Q-tip or a small, clean makeup applicator; and an open mind.
