Paraprofessional Assessment Exam - Litchfield 9AM

BEFORE coming to EdAdvance for testing:

You must wear a mask to enter our building and keep it on for testing.

If you are sick or have been sick within the past two weeks, have recently been exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19, or have recently traveled to a highly infected area, we strongly urge you to stay home to help ensure the safety of the test center staff and other test takers. Please reschedule your exam in this case.

EdAdvance offers the online 2.5hr Paraprofessional Assessment at the Litchfield location (355 Goshen Rd). A ParaPro needs to satisfy one of the following; An Associate Degree or two years of College to demonstrate, through a state or local academic assessment, knowledge of, and the ability to assist in, the instruction of Math, Reading and Writing for grades K-12.  More detail about the assessment can be found by searching at  If you do NOT have an Associate Degree, you need to take this assessment.

EdAdvance cost is $85 (90 questions, multiple choice, on computer, no calculators, scrap paper/pencil provided).

You will take results home, a score of 457 for Connecticut is needed to pass the Assessment. Out of state scores may vary. ETS will mail your results to your home in about 4-6 weeks from Assessment date. You can get this report anytime by calling ETS customer service (on website).

You must PAY online by MasterCard or Visa to be counted in the limited seats available. There is a $1.99 non-refundable convenience fee automatically added to your credit card charge. For additional dates or questions contact us 1.800.300.4781. Please bring a current photo ID with you on day of the Assessment. You MUST wear a mask.

Intro to Computers (in person) Torrington HS

Spanish is Fun I (Online)

ABC's of Planning for the Future of your loved one with special needs (Online)

The Art of Fly Tying: Thinking Ahead to Fishing Season (Online)

Learn the techniques for tying creative and effective fly patterns. Become proficient in the use of fly-tying tools and materials while learning to recognize their attributes by creating life-like imitations of a fish’s top forages. Participants will learn to tie standard fly patterns from dry flies and nymphs to streamers and saltwater flies.

If you can say the right simple phrases at the right time, you will discover how useful and funny your travel experience can become.
