For the student who is planning to travel to a German-speaking country. We will go over useful everyday phrases, making hotel reservations, camping, dining, and more. Lively lessons are paired with visual and auditory aids

Introduction To Astronomy: Exploring Our Solar System (Online)

Ever wonder what is going on in the night sky and what may lie beyond? An award-winning astrophotographer will help you understand the basics of our solar system and find out about the celestial bodies that make up the universe.

Learning The World In Spanish (In Person) Pomperaug HS

Learn advanced conversational Spanish using the past and future tense. Participants will explore some of the common cultural expressions of the Spanish-speaking world. Class is designed for students with prior exposure to the language. 

Magical Matisse (Online)

What do watercolors, salt, plastic wrap, and crayons have in common? You’ll find out in this super fun and magical collage composition inspired by Henri Matisse. Topics include an introduction to materials, basic paint handling skills, and the magical element of abstraction. All levels of experience are welcome.

Self-Defense 101 (In Person) Woodbury MS

Participants learn how to avoid being attacked and how to defend yourself. Learn from a fifth-degree black belt martial artist. Students master easy strikes and learn statistics on crime and sexual assault. Participants should wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing to practice forms. Participants will need to sign a risk agreement before starting class.

Watercolor Of Spring (Online)

Calendar Mar 7, 2022 at 6:30 pm, runs for 4 weeks

A beginner/intermediate class.  Explore watercolor techniques for painting the subtle colors of spring. The course includes color mixing, brushstrokes, and shading. Students will complete several small studies and a Spring painting. Materials needed: watercolor paper (9x12/11x14” good sizes), pencils, eraser; watercolors, brushes, paper towels, water rinse cup.

Downsizing Doesn't Have To Be Painful (Online)

Learn tips on purging unwanted items, time frames, places to sell and/or donate unwanted items, and techniques to get through the process of downsizing for a move. Students will be able to plan for a successful and managed move to their new home. Decide on what stays and what goes, what to consider for all parties who will be involved with the move, and the time frames for scheduling all aspects of a move.
