AARP Smart Driver Course (In Person) Litchfield

Calendar May 1, 2023 at 1 pm, runs for 1 week

In this refresher course for drivers 50+ years old, participants review the challenges faced by aging drivers and receive guidance on how to continue driving safely. Students must bring their AARP card to class if they have one. There will be a fee payable to “AARP” at the time of class, $20 fee for members and $25 for non-members. There will be a short break. Please arrive 15 minutes before class starts.

Crystal Singing Bowls/Sound Vibration (In Person) Litchfield

Guided by Reiki Master/Teacher, this class explores sound healing as a form of vibrational medicine.  Learn the philosophies behind the crystal singing bowls which resonate crystalline vibration alighned with the body's personal vibration and more.

Intermediate Stained Glass Studio Class

In this four week studio course, students will be working on their own project to further refine their cutting, grinding, foiling and soldering skills. Tools will be provided; students must bring their own supplies (glass, solder and copper foil). Intro To Barbie Doll History & Collection (Online)

Explore the origins of a toy that became a cultural icon. The executive director of the American Doll and Toy Museum and author of several doll books takes you through Mattel’s biggest creations from its 1940s beginnings up to the fashion figure's present-day controversies and influences. The course also studies collecting trends and tips for collecting and conserving. 

Boating & Personal Watercraft Safety ( Certificate Class ) (Online )

Calendar May 2, 2023 at 5 pm, runs for 1 week

This all-inclusive course allows you to operate a boat/personal watercraft and tow water skiers/inflatables. Upon successful completion of the course, the student will have learned about state and federal boating laws and earned a CT Safe Boating Certificate (Boater's License). Once completed, the State Certified instructor will guide you through the certificate download process which includes a one-time additional payment to the State of Connecticut of $50.00 per license -- then you are certified for life.

Intro To Birding (New) (Online)

Taught by an experienced nature educator, this three session online class introduces students to birding ID skills and tools. Bird songs and calls, migration, and ethics are discussed. Instructor will contact students with supply list prior to first class.

Learn advanced conversational Spanish using the past and future tense. Participants will explore some of the common cultural expressions of the Spanish-speaking world. Class is designed for students with prior exposure to the language.

Learn the story of how these two unique individuals have predicted future events and technologies, as well as have had had eff ect on the future. A must class for those who love science fi ction literature.
